    Terrific storytelling! Encore!
This story is absolutely wonderful. It has a great cast of flawed characters and it is filled with humor at every turn, never missing a chance to make fun of clichés. To top it all off, the vocal performance is nothing short of stunning. The individual voices and characteristics are all honed to perfection. I can only hope that there will be some more follow on works that continue to tell these characters’ stories! Once is not enough!

    Magically Real
LOVE this story. A mix of classic fairy tales, realism, and a new twist on the hero himself. Makes me want to play Skyrim.

    Outstanding!
The Merchant Adventurer is one of the best audio books I have listened to since Patrick O'Brian's books. Terrific characterizations, entertaining plot twists, great message = a joy to hear! Also, the voices in the narration are right on, couldn't have been better! Thank you Mr. McLean!

    Great story!
As usual, the author's wit and sarcastic brand of humor takes center stage. I really enjoyed this

A hero story as told by Mr. Krabs
I think the princess bride is a good comparison although if you look at the authors other works you know that things can get a little gritty. I won't spoil the ending but there will be blood.

    Patrick does pretty good fantasy
This is more like D&D than Princess Bride, and it isn't quite as light-hearted as a lot of Patrick's stuff, but he always tells interesting stories, and he reads them very well. I kept thinking of Topper, though, because of the voice, and had to pull myself back into this story.
